Brief Description of the Logo and
Flag of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao
Logos and flags are symbols used to represent groups of people who have something
in common. They represent a specific meaning through their colors and shapes. The logo and
flag of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao embodies the following meanings.
I. COLOR--The
logo and the flag of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao contain four colors..
BLUE: stands for hope and health
YELLOW: stands for the "Oriental"
right-of-way and it is also the color of brilliance and glory.
RED: is the color of fire and courage.
WHITE: stands for the purity and excellency.
II. SHAPE
The Logo
The logo consists of two continuous squares having an opened bottom integrally
joined to an upward semicircle. It represents harmonic perfection and of the truthfulness
and the excellence found in our martial arts.
There is smaller circle centrally located inside the semicircular portion of the
badge having a blue and red "Yin and Yang". A yellow map of Vietnam which
is a symbol of our relative equality, compatibility, correspondence, and our love for one
another. The country shape symbolizes majesty, pride, eternality, independence, and
unification. A larger white circle surrounds the "Yin and Yang" and it
symbolizes cleanliness along with moderation and generosity.
FLAG
The flag comprises of a rectangular yellow base. Centrally located is a white
circle enclosing a smaller circle having blue and red "Ying and Yang" overlaid
by a Vietnam country symbol.
